PROVO — Pilots will be protesting at the Provo Airport Tuesday morning. Allegiant Air pilots, represented by Teamsters Local 2118, plan to picket amid stalled contract negotiations with Allegiant Air. Demonstrators will not strike, and said the picket will not impact scheduled flights.
Organizers said more than 1,400 pilots nationwide will participate at 22 Allegiant airport bases beginning at 10 a.m. local time. The pilots are demanding fair wages, improved work rules and more scheduling flexibility.
Provo pilot Noah Nilsson spoke with KSL ahead of the protest.
