ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is waiving vehicle fees at all 73 state parks and recreation areas on November 28.
This initiative is part of the DNR's four annual "Free Park Days," aimed at encouraging residents to explore the state's natural beauty.
Ann Pierce, director of the DNR Parks and Trails Division, emphasized the benefits of outdoor activities. "After Thanksgiving celebrations, we encourage friends and family to get outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature," Pierce said. She highlighted the positive impact of nature on mental and physical wellbeing.
