OKLAHOMA CITY —
An Oklahoma man has been arrested after police say he kidnapped and raped a homeless woman he initially offered to help, turning his apartment from a safe haven into a place of danger.
Documents show that this began about three weeks ago when the woman and her mother needed a place to stay. Police say Richard Torres, 62, brought them to his apartment under the guise of getting them off the street.
The victim reported that about two weeks ago, Torres grabbed her arm, dragged her chair around the living room, and later forced her to have sex with him. She was eventually able to get word to a friend, who sent police to the apartment.
