The funeral for former Vice President Dick Cheney is happening this week. He died at age 84 on Nov. 3.

The former businessman served under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2008. Bush called him "the one I needed" as a VP and called him a "calm and steady presence in the White House amid great national challenges." Cheney was highly instrumental in pushing the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.

He is survived by his wife Lynne and daughters Mary and Liz.

As of Tuesday, Nov. 18, President Donald Trump has not made a public comment about Cheney's death.
