Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not need surgery on the small break in his left wrist and is pushing to play on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. It is unknown if Rodgers will play, but his wrist will have to be fitted for a brace to play.
“He does not want to miss a game,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said. “He is pushing to play in this game. I know it sounds crazy, because he broke a bone in his wrist, but it’s his left wrist. If he’s able to grip, if he’s able to receive the ball on the snap, it is actually possible that he could play this week.”
Rodgers, as Rapoport noted, has to be able to catch the ball and receive snaps. It will not hurt his ability to throw the ball since it is his non-throwing wrist. In addition to that, Rodgers has to make sure that he is a
