ADRIAN – Bedford’s girls swimming team didn’t win a single event, but the Mules walked away with the trophy that mattered most.
Bedford scored 329 points to win the championship of the Southeastern Michigan Independent Swimming League Blue on Saturday, Nov. 15.
“It was a true team effort,” Bedford coach Holly Scheffer said. “We knew we had a chance, but we did not have any wiggle room for dropping places or DQs. We knew it was going to be close. Everyone did a great job of meeting one of our goals in each race.”
