A group of pedestrians were just half a second away from being struck by a speeding car which ran through a red light in Melbourne earlier this month.
Extraordinary footage of the near-miss has been released by police which took place at the intersection of the Nepean Hwy and Main St in Mornington about 10.30pm on October 3.

A red Mazda 121 was speeding southbound on the highway at the same time five people were crossing the intersection.
The car ran through a red light almost hitting several members of the group.
Two of the pedestrians managed to spot the car and run towards the road while another two stopped walking just in time.
No one was injured.
