BOISE, Idaho — The Boise School District and its insurance carrier are set to pay approximately $7 million in settlement agreements as part of ongoing legal proceedings involving a former employee.
The district on Tuesday announced it has reached agreements with the families of seven of the students who have taken legal action after reported child abuse by Gavin Snow, a former employee at Valley View Elementary School.
Snow died from an apparent self-inflicted injury as officers with the Boise Police Department attempted to arrest him in January 2025 as part of a child exploitation case.
Police said Snow hurt himself when officers arrived at a home on North Mountain View Drive, as previously reported by KTVB .
