WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Caracas will conduct permanent patching at the intersection of Kings Highway and Elm Street on Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., requiring a full road closure during work hours.

Mayor Will Reichelt posted on Facebook that the patching work is part of the larger Kings Highway control valve upgrade, which aims to improve the reliability of the drinking water system. The project began earlier this year to replace a critical piece of the water system originally installed in the 1950s.
