The front page photo in The Baltimore Sun of the two observation towers at Pimlico is all that remains of the Grand Lady. In the 80s, I managed a quick oil change shop on Reisterstown Road. On my way home on Northern Parkway, I always had a sense of Baltimore Pride when I passed Pimlico and saw the towers. So yes, the past few years have not been kind to her, and yes, it was somewhat of a dump, but by God, it was our dump.
