Edmonton and Red Deer will be the official hosts of the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship, Hockey Canada announced on Tuesday.
This will mark the 20th time the tournament will be held north of the border, and the fifth time in Edmonton.
Edmonton previously hosted in 1995, 2012, 2021 and 2022. Canada won gold in 1995 and 2022, silver in 2021 and bronze in 2012.
Eight of Canada’s 20 gold medals have been won on home ice.
