DETROIT – Axel Sandin-Pellikka’s ability to run a power play from the top is one of the reasons the Detroit Red Wings selected him 17 th overall in 2023.
Now he’s getting chance to display his talent on the top unit and will get much more ice time than he did with the second unit.
He played there Sunday against the Rangers. He’ll start there tonight vs. Seattle (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network). How long he remains there depends on his effectiveness.
