TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Sierra Vista Police Department says a man is facing charges after assaulting his grandfather.

The SVPD says Wisdom Cretens was arrested Monday, November 17 after calling police to report his grandfather was having trouble breathing.

Police say detectives learned Cretens had been living with his grandfather for the past few months.

A physical altercation between the two started the previous night regarding Cretens’ eviction.

The SVPD says, at some point, Cretens allegedly restrained the grandfather with bailing wire.

The grandfather was flown to a Tucson hospital for treatment and is in critical condition.
