US President Donald Trump brushed aside America’s own intelligence findings and leapt to the defence of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during an Oval Office meeting , insisting that the powerful royal knew nothing about the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. His remarks came after an ABC News reporter asked why Americans should trust the crown prince when US agencies concluded he approved the 2018 killing.
