The Boston Red Sox know their infield needs some major retooling this winter in order to get farther than the team did last season after losing the American League Wild Card Series to the New York Yankees.

With Alex Bregman officially a free agent, that leaves a huge hole at third base. Boston could also use some additional help at second base if Ceddanne Rafaela sticks as the everyday center fielder. While the Red Sox are open to bringing back Bregman and aren't ruling it would, the organization is open to anything that makes it better next season.

Now, the team could be looking to make its first offseason splash by going out and signing Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette and ripping him away from a division rival.
