United States President Donald Trump has hit out at a reporter as he defended Saudi Arabia's leader over the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
President Trump hosted Crowd Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the White House on Tuesday, local time, in his first visit to the US since the killing of the journalist.
The US-based journalist had been critical of the Saudi regime and was allegedly suffocated, killed and dismembered by Saudi Arabian Special Forces in 2018.
He was killed when visiting the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, Turkey to obtain paperwork.
A CIA investigation into Khashoggi's death came to the conclusion that the killing was ordered by the crown prince.
The crown prince denied ordering the operation but acknowledged responsibility as the kingdom's de facto ruler.
