Prosecuting Attorney Will Jones, who is running for his second term as the elected prosecutor for Perry and Pulaski counties, said in a TV interview Monday night that he had an extra-marital affair with his chief deputy that ended almost a month ago when his wife found out.
Jones, 50, is being challenged for the position as Sixth Judicial Circuit prosecuting attorney by restaurateur and defense attorney Bobby Forrest Jr. of Sherwood in the non-partisan election that coincides with Arkansas' March primary elections.
Jones told Fox 16 News in his only public statements so far that his indiscretions have had no impact on his professional duties and that he will continue in the race, with the goal of showing he is worthy of the voters' trust.
