BOISE, Idaho - A Christian group in Idaho says it will work with lawmakers next session to name a highway in honor of Charlie Kirk.

Idaho Family Policy Center expects a proposal to be introduced at the start of the legislative session in January.

It would designate State Highway 16 as the Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway.

"It is intended to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk and to denounce the recent rise of politically and religiously motivated violence," the group said in a news release.

The group cites Kirk's influence in Idaho where high school and college campuses have Turning Point USA chapters.
