The New England Patriots’ 27-14 victory over the New York Jets in Week 11 was fueled by rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson . And with legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski in attendance for this game, Henderson found a way to join an exclusive club with the future Hall of Famer.
Last week, Gronkowski signed a one-day contract that allowed him to retire with the Patriots, and he ended up being the “Keeper of the Light” for this game. Considering all Gronk accomplished during his time with the Pats, it was great to see him back at Gillette Stadium.
In the process, Henderson ended up paying tribute to Gronkowski by doing what he did best during his playing career: score touchdowns. Henderson scored all three of the Pats’ touchdowns, and he joined Gronk as the only rookies in franchise
