The post-apocalyptic action-comedy series “Twisted Metal” has been picked up for a third season by streaming platform Peacock. However, the show will have new leadership when it goes into production.
Series co-creator and showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith will exit the show and will be replaced, according to Variety.
The series stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett. It premiered in December 2023 and recently concluded its second season. Set in the “Divided State of America,” the show is based on the popular video game series “Twisted Metal.”
