Western Australia coach Adam Voges will depart at the end of the domestic season, and if all goes well, he could be leading Australia within two years.

Voges will go down as one of WA's greatest ever coaches after leading the State to a hat-trick of Sheffield Shield titles, from 2021-2024, as well as four one-day titles.

The 46-year-old, who played 112 Shield matches for WA over 15 years before taking over the coaching role from Justin Langer ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, will leave his post in order to pursue coaching opportunities in franchise cricket.

Voges is a chance to remain as coach of the Perth Scorchers beyond this BBL season, however.
