CHARLOTTE — The Panthers cleared a spot on the practice squad on Tuesday.

The team released safety Israel Mukuamu from the practice squad.

The former South Carolina product appeared in Sunday's game against the Falcons on special teams, making his Panthers debut.

Mukuamu had previously appeared in 50 games, including three starts, during his four seasons with the Cowboys.
