WASHINGTON — A group of U.S. House members is appealing directly to President Donald Trump for more funding to aid recovery efforts after last spring's destructive ice storm.
Michigan 1st District Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Watersmeet, and the state Republican congressional delegation sent a letter to the president asking him to reverse an Oct. 22 Federal Emergency Management Agency denial of funding for public utilities and individual assistance, according to a Thursday press release from Bergman's office.
