Gamestop is taking trade-ins to a whole new level. On December 6, 2025 , the video game retailer will host its first-ever “Trade Anything Day,” allowing customers to trade almost any item for store credit. While GameStop is traditionally known for video game and gaming merchandise trade-ins, this special event expands the offerings to include crafts, artwork, and even taxidermy—provided items fit within a 20x20x20 box .
The retailer has not yet disclosed whether members of its GameStop Pro loyalty program will receive different trade-in values, but more information is expected as the event approaches.
However, there are several restrictions on what can be traded. Items not accepted include:
