WASHINGTON -- Three of Arkansas' members in the U.S House of Representatives backed legislation demanding the Justice Department release more information about its investigation of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Arkansas Reps. Rick Crawford, French Hill and Bruce Westerman, all Republicans, joined their colleagues to overwhelmingly pass the bill. The vote was 427-1.
Louisiana Republican Clay Higgins was the only lawmaker who opposed the measure.
Rep. Steve Womack, R-Ark., missed Tuesday's vote because of a serious medical issue involving a family member. The Rogers congressman issued a statement supporting the bill, saying the public should "know the identities of any individuals who were directly or indirectly involved in the despicable crimes of Jeffrey Epstein."
