BELOIT, Wis. — A 61-year-old retired Beloit Memorial High School teacher was arrested Monday afternoon for sexual assault of a former student.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau learned of the allegation in late 2024, and interviewed several people since. Authorities found probable cause and arrested Andre Raymond DeKok of Beloit.

DeKok faces tentative charges of child enticement and sexual assault of a student by school staff, and he is scheduled to make his initial appearance at the Rock County Jail Court Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office has been led to believe there may be more witnesses and/or victims.
