WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — More than half of the patients in a study about knee pain published in the New England Journal of Medicine last month , were from Western New York.
They were from UBMD and the study shines a light on what treatments might work best for people with knee pain. The study set out to see what kind of treatment would work best for people with knee pain who weren't going to have surgery. On Tuesday, 2 On Your Side talked with the top researcher from UBMD about what they found out.

About 34-million people in the United States have knee osteoarthritis, and 879 of them were a part of this study.
