WASHINGTON — A man previously accused of killing a man who disappeared in 2010 and was never found will no longer face charges.
According to the Prince William County Clerk of Court, Tim Hickerson's defense renewed a motion to drop second-degree murder charges against him, and the judge approved.
Earlier this year, Hickerson was charged with second-degree murder for killing 23-year-old Shane Donahue in 2010, even though Donahue's body has never been found.
Hickerson was arrested in Florida, where he lived, after he ran a red light in September 2024. At that time, officers learned he had warrants out for murder and burglary charges tied to the disappearance of Donahue.
