CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina rapper Petey Pablo is speaking out after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) used one of his songs in a video about the agency's immigration enforcement in Charlotte .
Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino posted a video on X showing federal agents driving to Charlotte and making multiple arrests with Petey Pablo's iconic song "Raise Up" as the backing track. Bovino also quoted Charlotte's Web in the post, which was a nod to the operation's name, "Operation Charlotte Web."
Petey Pablo, who is from Greenville, released a statement to WRAL-TV in Raleigh when asked about his music being used in the video.
"I have my legal team on it as we speak," Pablo wrote. "They do not have my permission and I think it is appalling, especially what they're doing to
