A Time to Kill is surging on Netflix nearly three decades after its original release. The 1996 film is based on a novel by John Grisham, the author of several best-selling legal thrillers which were adapted into major motion pictures by some of Hollywood's biggest directors and stars during the 1990s, including The Firm (1991), The Pelican Brief (1993), and The Rainmaker (1997).
Now, A Time to Kill ranks sixth on Netflix 's Global Top 10 movies for the week of November 11–16 with 5.4 million views and 13.4 million hours viewed. It ranks below Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein in first, A Merry Little Ex-Mas , KPop Demon Hunters , In Your Dreams , Being Eddie , and above The Little Things , A House of Dynamite , The Marksman , and Shrek Forever After in 10t
