PHOENIX — A rescue crew managed to help two occupants of a truck that became stuck in a wash during Tuesday's heavy rainstorms around Tonopah.

Arizona Fire & Medical Authority reported being dispatched out to the area of 377th Avenue and Orange Drive at about 1 p.m. to help extricate two people from a vehicle submerged in water that had reached up to the car's windows.

Both individuals were safely removed from the vehicle and no injuries were reported. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office also responded to the rescue.

The area around Tonopah reported getting over two inches of rainfall on Tuesday and this region of Maricopa County had been under a flash flood warning from the National Weather Service.
