BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) – The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center celebrated a major step in its ongoing expansion Tuesday as crews raised the final steel beam into place on the new Robert P. Ramsey Annex, a 34,000-square-foot addition scheduled to open in early 2026.

The beam was signed by construction crews, SKyPAC leadership and local officials before being lifted and secured atop the four-story structure. The expansion, which broke ground in April 2025, will add rehearsal halls, a set workshop, administrative offices and additional storage aimed at supporting SKyPAC’s growing programs and performances.

Quintin Littrell, president of Sunbelt Construction, said the milestone marks the beginning of more visible progress on the building.
