ELLENVILLE, N.Y. — A rash of criminal activity allegedly perpetrated by 14-year-old village residents since mid-October has resulted in multiple charges, Police Chief Philip Mattracion said Tuesday.
“These cases were committed by mostly the same individual juveniles,” Mattracion said in an email. The teens were not named by police because of their age.
On Friday, Oct. 17, at about 8 p.m. Ellenville police responded to an Ulster 911 call reporting an incident at 104 Center St. Allegedly a 14-year-old was being threatened by a 14-year-old with a pistol, police said. The unidentified teen fled when police arrived but was later arrested and charged with the misdemeanors of menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
The teen was issued a family court appearance ticket for 10
