LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Jefferson County Teachers Association hosted a walk-in event Tuesday at Bates Elementary School.
They are fighting for student-centered investments from JCPS.
Some issues JCTA is fighting for include more learning time and less testing for students. The group also wants educators to have time to design personalized learning experiences for students.
JCTA is in the middle of contract negotiations with JCPS.
Families, students and community supporters gathered for the walk-in today to show their support.
