New York’s court system announced two major judicial appointments last month that will affect how thousands of everyday disputes, from landlord-tenant fights to misdemeanor appeals, are decided across Long Island and the Hudson Valley.
Chief Administrative Judge Joseph Zayas appointed Justice Timothy Driscoll as Presiding Justice and Justice Maureen Liccione as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Term for the Second Department’s Ninth and Tenth Judicial Districts, a court that quietly handles some of the most common cases New Yorkers bring to the judiciary.
