PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man was taken into custody after authorities said he brought his dead girlfriend using the bed of his truck to a police station in west Phoenix early Tuesday morning.
Phoenix police said that around 5 a.m., the man went to the Maryvale Estrella Mountain Precinct near Desert West Park on Encanto Boulevard and told officers that his girlfriend was dead in the back of his vehicle.
At that point, officers went outside to the vehicle and saw that the woman was dead with injuries described as “obvious signs of trauma.”
The man, who has not been identified, was taken into custody. He then reportedly told investigators where the original crime happened, but it’s unclear whether he will face any charges.
