ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A man from Ohio was sentenced to 16 years in prison on Tuesday for inducing a teen from Missouri to send him explicit images.

Joseph Bauer, 27, from Cleveland, Ohio, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography in St. Louis in August.

According to prosecutors, Bauer met a 14-year-old girl on a social media app in August 2021 and had communication with her until July 2023.

In several chats, Bauer told the teen to send him nude pictures of herself. He discussed plans for her to leave her family and live with him.

In July 2023, the teen was with family in Ohio and Bauer picked her up and took her to his house.

Police found her later the same day.
