Snow is expected across the UK on Wednesday, with the Met Office issuing a whopping six yellow weather warnings - at least 11 cities are in the firing line
The UK is bracing for freezing temperatures and snow blizzards, with multiple yellow weather warnings in force tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued four snow and ice alerts , along with two separate ice warnings, for Wednesday. The national weather service says conditions will be "markedly colder" this week as Arctic air sweeps south, "bringing a mix of wintry hazards, sharp frosts and unsettled weather ".
GFS model maps show the heaviest snowfall at midnight on Wednesday hitting the North East, particularly around Newcastle, Durham and the Pennines, as well as eastern Scotland , in parts of the Highlands and around Aberdeen.
