Butler Township officials are moving forward with their plan for the 2026 municipal budget. The proposal does not include a tax increase for residents. No collection of per capita taxes is planned.

Township commissioners voted unanimously on Monday, Nov. 17, to introduce and advertise next year’s budget at $16.9 million in revenue and expenditures.

At a workshop meeting on Thursday, Nov. 13, officials discussed the budget and department heads presented requests. Some new purchases expected next year include Tasers for the police department, an excavator for public works and more.

The budget will be available for review at the Butler Township building until a final vote is taken at a future meeting.

The next Butler Township commissioners meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1.
