A partial acquisition bid for the various activities of French premium fashion distribution giant IKKS , currently in receivership, was recently put forward by the Amoniss company, one of several interested parties. The businessman behind Amoniss is Salih Halassi, 50, previously involved in relaunching socks brand Kindy . In 2023, in partnership with Lee Cooper France and Ibisler Tekstil, Amoniss bought French fashion retailer Pimkie , with more than 200 stores, from the Mulliez group.

Halassi, who hails from Troyes and started his career in the textiles trade, and was later in the fabric printing sector, is keen to grow his business through acquisitions. In July, he was in the running to buy French label Naf Naf , which was eventually acquired by Brittany-based group Beaumano
