A man alleged to have ties to organized crime in Montreal is facing charges in relation to a murder and cocaine trafficking, and is now facing extradition to the United States.
Atna Onha, who goes by the name Tupac or 2-Pac, appeared in Montreal court by videoconference on Tuesday. The details of the charges against him have been sealed.
According to Radio-Canada sources, the 40-year-old was arrested early Tuesday by the RCMP at the request of the FBI in connection with the case of Ryan Wedding, a former Team Canada Olympian-turned-fugitive.
Wedding, an alleged Canadian drug lord who competed for Canada as a snowboarder at the 2002 Olympic Games in Utah, is listed as one of the FBI's 10 most-wanted fugitives.
