LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dozens of educators across the Jefferson County school district are holding coordinated walk-ins.
Jefferson County Public Schools and the Jefferson County Teachers Associations continue contact negotiations.
JCTA says the walk-ins are meant to highlight key priorities they say are essential both to strong contract and to a thriving school system – like safe environments, smaller class sizes and time and support to teach.
On Tuesday, teachers, families, students and city leaders gathered at Bates Elementary ahead of the walk-in, highlighting their cause.
