HILLIARD, Ohio — The Hilliard Division of Police released body-camera video showing authorities attempting to catch a cow that was loose on Interstate 270 on Monday evening.

The incident shut down all lanes on I-270 South at Davidson Road for several hours as crews worked to capture the cow.

Bodycam video from just before 7 p.m. shows several officers and other personnel attempting to corner the cow in a grassy area near a fence.

One officer had a rope lasso that he tried to put over the cow's head, but was unsuccessful as the cow ran away each time.

At one point, the officer with the lasso was about to get it over the cow's head, but it once again ran in the other direction, avoiding capture.
