BOISE, Idaho — Treasure Valley drivers who use State Highway 55 in Caldwell should plan ahead, as a portion of the route is set to shut down this weekend for road work .

State Highway 55 will be closed between Florida Avenue and Lake Avenue from Friday, Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 24 at 5 a.m. while crews replace an irrigation pipe, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

ITD said the pipe replacement just east of the State Highway 55 and Florida Avenue intersection must be completed before paving the roadway.

Highway traffic should detour around the closure using Interstate 84, State Highway 19 and U.S. 95, the department said.
