NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Former Vice President Kamala Harris made an appearance in Nashville to campaign for Rep. Aftyn Behn to replace former U.S. Rep. Mark Green.

Early voting for the House Congressional 7th District opened on Wednesday, November 12 and is set to close on November 26.

Behn is up against Matt Van Epps, who’s backed by President Donald Trump.

Van Epps released the following statement on social media about the campaign event in Nashville:

“Tennesseans rejected Kamala one year ago, and two weeks from today we’ll reject radical Aftyn Behn.”

Several independents will also be on the ballot: Teresa “Terri” Christie, Bobby Dodge, Robert James Sutherby and Jon Thorp.
