ARCADIA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - On Nov. 13, 2025, Fontella Luther, was booked following an investigation according to the Arcadia Police Department.

The investigation stemmed from reports of large sums of money missing from the local youth football programs treasury.

Former Sarasota Little League treasurer arrested for stealing over $200,000

Arcadia Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division found probably cause to arrest Luthor and she was charged with Fraud/Swindle-Defraud to Obtain Property Value 20K-50K, according to reports.

Luthor was the treasurer for the Walt Brewer Foundation also known as Desoto Youth Football.
