Nobody can say Ogemaw Heights didn’t get the most out of its volleyball season.
The Falcons not only made the longest postseason run in program history, but they had a knack for pushing every match to the limit.
So when the season came to a close with a loss to Fremont in the Division 2 state quarterfinals – in five sets, of course – the Falcons were able to depart knowing they took it to the brink.
“There are times when you’re facing teams that want it equally as bad, and that’s when it’s most challenging,” Ogemaw coach Heather Munson said. “I know they didn’t want it to end like this, and it hurts. That’s when I feel more like a mom because I’m hurting for them.”
