Seattle-based law firm Hagens Berman filed a nationwide class action lawsuit against Costco alleging its Kirkland Signature Tequila is adulterated and falsely labeled as “100% de Agave.”
The RICO complaint, filed in Washington federal court on behalf of 13 plaintiffs, claims that laboratory testing using carbon isotope ratio analysis showed Kirkland Blanco tequila contains only 60% to 80% agave ethanol while Kirkland Reposado ranges from 5% to 25%.
