SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Six weeks after it abruptly closed, the company that operates Sioux City’s ACX Promenade Cinema has responded to a petition claiming it owes the owner tens-of-thousands of dollars in rent.

On Monday, William and Colleen Barstow, who own Main Street Theatres, Inc., refuted claims by the building’s owner, YAM 4th Street Promenade, LLC, that Main Street failed to pay rent in August and September of 2025, and owe YAM at least $65,000 in rent.

Main Street’s response, which was filed in Woodbury County District Court on Monday, comes seven weeks after YAM filed a petition claiming Main Street allegedly failed to make those August and September rent payments to YAM.
