BANDIPORA: The District Administration Bandipora on Tuesday announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan to minimise congestion and ensure uninterrupted movement of vehicles after the closure of a vital Naninara bridge in the area.
In an official order issued by Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib (JKAS), the administration notified alternative routes for heavy and light motor vehicles until the bridge is technically certified as safe for travel.
According to the order, all Heavy Motor Vehicles, whether travelling towards Bandipora or moving out of the district, must use the Safapora–Manasbal–Barsoo road, which connects via the Ganderbal route. The decision aims to prevent bottlenecks and reduce pressure on the closed stretch.
